SICA is a non/inter denominational school and therefore does not subscribe to the doctrinal statement of any one church or denomination, but does require that all its staff, administrators, and members of its Boards subscribe to the following statement of faith/doctrine: The Bible is the Word of God, given by inspiration, and is the final authority in all matters of faith. That Jesus Christ, the Son of God came down to earth through the virgin birth, to redeem us back to God through His death on the cross as the only qualified payment through His shed blood, to redeem us from our sins. Lk.1:26; Jn. 1:1 – 4; Acts 4:12; Heb. 9:11 – 26; That the Holy Spirit is given to comfort, empower and guide us. Jn. 14:15 – 16, 26; Acts 1:8; That all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and need salvation. Rm. 6:23 That salvation is obtained free through grace on the promise of Jesus’ death and resurrection. Jn. 1:12; Eph. 2:8; Acts 4:12; That water baptism is commanded, and practiced as Jesus was in Matthew 3:13 – 17, specifically by immersion. Matt. 28:18 – 20; Mk. 16:15; That the Lord Jesus instructed that we should commemorate the last Supper as often as we do, we should do it in remembrance of Him. Lk. 22:19; 1 Cor. 11:23 – 26;That all Christians are commissioned to preach the Gospel. Matt. 28:18 – 20; Mk. 16:15,16; and to do so in the power of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8; Lk. 24:49; Mk. 16:15 – 18 That we (all, especially older persons and ministers) are saddled with the responsibility to be examples to the youths and indeed to all. 1 Tim. 4:12; Tit. 2:1 – 8. That it is appointed unto all men to die once and after that judgment. Heb. 9:27. That at the imminent return of Jesus Christ, all eyes shall see Him, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, then those who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, at the rapture of believers, then shall all believers be judged, to reward everyone according to his works. 1 Thess. 4:13 – 18; Rev. 22:12.
